As the next fixture of English Premiership match between Manchester United at home to Liverpool approaches, despite the number of injured players in Manchester United this term.

The Spanish shot-stopper David de Gea’s name had been added to the injury list of the English premiership side Manchester United. David de Gea was substituted in the 60th minute after having a groin injury in Spain’s Euro 2020 qualifier with Sweden which ended at 1:1 on Tuesday 15th October 2019.

In the meantime his fitness for the next fixture on Sunday with Liverpool is doubtful.

Manchester United shall be banking on the Argentine International Sergio Romero to man the post in the crunch tie with Liverpool, he had been keeping in two cup

ties but had never played in a premiership match this season.

He played in the 1:0 home win against Astana in the group stage match of Europa league on 19th September and also in the Carabao home 1:1 draw with England League one side Rochdale on 25th September.

The home match is a desperate match for Manchester United after a poor run of form in both home and away matches this current 2019/2020 season, sitting far away at the 12th position having garnered only 9 points from 8 matches being played in the league.

The following players may likely be available for United namely, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Luke Shaw, Paul Pogba and Anthony Martial the coaching crew have all to decide who is fit to participate in the game Sunday.

Liverpool, on the other hand, has their injury woes as well,  Joel Matip the Cameroonian international and Alisson are some of the players that may likely recover from injury and play for Liverpool or as well make it to the bench come on Sunday.

As Liverpool plans to make it nine wins out of nine, having won all there last eight matches this season in the premiership and sitting comfortably on top of the league table with 24 points, setting a new club record is never far fetched if they continue with their current form. Manchester United will leave no stone unturned to achieve a good result come 20th October 2019 at Old Trafford with these much number of players returning back to the squad from injury, it may be a better day to smile for Manchester United fans after the match because of victory.
