Rudiger, 28, is able to sign a pre-contract agreement with foreign clubs after entering the final six months of his contract.

Manager Thomas Tuchel is keen for his star centre-back to remain at Stamford Bridge, with the likes of Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain, Bayern Munch, and Juventus all keen to secure his services.

It is understood the German international is not in any hurry to sign a pre-contract agreement with any club abroad, but he is aware of the interest.

‘Like always, I’m fully committed to the cause’, Rudiger told Sky Sports.

‘Talks are between my side and the club, and that’s everything you need to know.’

The former Roma defender, who joined Chelsea in July 2017 and went on to win the FA Cup, Europa League, and Champions League, was asked if he could move elsewhere.

‘You have to think about your family. My kids were born here in London so that tells you that my family feels great here.

Chelsea Antonio Rudiger  Feels At Home In London

The rest is up to other people to make decisions and then we will see if we come together or not.’

Rudiger is hopeful both him and the club can come to an agreement, but he is only prepared to put pen-to-paper should he receive a fee what he believes is the right.

The European champions would have to make him the highest-paid defender in the Premier League if they are to keep him.

Chelsea had previously offered him a new contract at the start of the current campaign, but that was rebuffed by him and his representatives, as Tuchel’s side was only prepared to pay him half of what some of the club’s top earners get paid.

Rudiger still believes his future lies in London and says it is ‘easy’ to remain committed to his current side for the rest of his contract.

‘Yes, I find it easy to do. I’m not just saying words, I’m fully committed to the cause. I think I’ve always shown that.

‘There were worse times than this so that’s why for me I’ve found it easy to deal with. I’m focused on what is happening here and on the pitch.

‘I owe it to everyone here around the club, the coach, my teammates, and my family so that’s why I’m only focused on the important things.

‘The other things are speculation – I cannot say anything about that, he added.

Chelsea Marcos Alonso Move  to Athletico Madrid

The Spaniard, back then, had opted to stay at Stamford Bridge where he is still playing his football and is part of Thomas Tuchel’s first-team plans.

Marcos Alonso

He is getting regular games at the moment, largely due to the injury of Ben Chilwell, an anterior cruciate ligament injury that has ended his season.

Diego Simeone still sees Alonso as his dream left-back though and a move could be on in the summer when Chilwell returns to fitness.

He is particularly potent as a left wing-back with a defensive three behind him which allows him to purely attack as his defensive game isn’t his strongest facet.

Marcos Alonso isn’t the only player on Simeone’s radar, however. Reinildo Mandava, playing for Lille in Ligue 1, is also under consideration for Atletico and they could make a move in the summer.
