Mohammed Alkali Imam former governorship candidate in Borno State and Zannah Gaddama Mustapha a former state chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) had been suspended by the party.
The secretary of the Borno state chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, Yusuf Mohammed Dikko announced the suspension at a media conference in Maiduguri on Wednesday, September 22 as was reported by Daily Trust. He also added that the members had caused mutual distrust as they created factions within members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
The two former chieftains of the party declined to answer questions about the things said against them by the ward and local government hierarchy of the party.
It was also reported by Vanguard that the party big wigs were also accused of forms hijack made for the party’s forthcoming congresses. Mustapha the former chairman, when contacted opined that no disciplinary committee was put together for the investigation of the allegations.
The former chairman also added that only a working committee with the number of fourteen members has the power to suspend anyone in the party. He also reiterated that PDP congress forms are for free for qualified/eligible members of the party to get and that nothing like forms been hijacked doesn’t exist. Mustapha the former chairman said that no disciplinary committee had been set up for the investigation of the issues arising.
