A warehouse belonging to Federal Capital Territory Authority (FCTA) that is located at Local Education Authority in Gwagwalada Area Council of F.C.T Abuja had been under serious looting by men, women and children living around there.
Some of the items they had been carting away since Sunday are bags of rice, bags of salt, bags of sugar, and cartons of noodles and other items that are inside the warehouse. Before the attack and looting at Gwagwalada another warehouse at Idu Industrial area had also been under siege.
NAFDAC WARNS OF THE DANGER OF EATING EXPIRED THINGS LOOTED FROM WAREHOUSE
The National Agency for Food & Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) had warned that as many that took away things from any warehouse in Kaduna state, that there are great dangers to those items because some of them had expired and may be dangerous to health, such one may be at the risk of contracting serious illness which may result to death.
KADUNA STATE GOVERNMENT ORDERS 24 HOURS CURFEW IN THE WHOLE STATE.
Kaduna State government on Saturday 24th October had announced 24 hours curfew in some areas in Kaduna state, these areas are namely Kaduna South, Chikun Local government areas in the state. But it was later announced that the curfew will be observed in all the local governments of the state.
The state governor, Nasir Ahmad el-Rufai said this is to enable the security agents to protect lives and properties in the state and to make sure that things that belong to individuals, corporate bodies and government is not vandalized.
In another development, the state government had authorized security outfits to bring to book as many that will not adhere to the instructions and orders of the state government.
