National Identity Card

The Management of National Identity Commission says to get your NIN number dial *346# to have it.

This is coming as Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) had given two (2) weeks deadline to subscribers to provide their valid National Identification Number (NIN) to update SIM registration records.

The USSD code is available for customers who are using MTN, AIRTEL, 9MOBILE and GLO network.

The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) had said that this is a compulsory update of valid National Identification Number (NIN).

The defaulted users of Nigeria SIM card that fails to update NIN registration.

Subscribers that had not done the registration for their National Identity Card, this is the guide to do so.

Guide 1

Fill in the NIMC Enrolment online form for the NIMC portal

Fill in your correct information in the mandatory spaces in the form, and after that, you are to download it and print your Pre Enrolment document.

Guide 2

Submission of Application

Go to NIMC Registration Centre with anyone these documents: Valid supporting documents and Original documents.

At the Enrolment Center, you will be directed to an Enrolment Officer for the verification of the information you had filled in your application form.

After verifications had been made by the Enrolment officer and your application is the same with the one in the system, you will be guided to and be captured of your biometrics and facial image. After all, these had been done you will be issued a transaction ID Slip as evidence of your transaction.

To get your NIN

To get your National Identification Number (NIN) Slip it may last within 3 working days after capturing you and your biometric details and validation at the enrolment centres.

For you to collect your NIN Slip, you need to keep the transaction ID Slip issued to you at the enrolment centre.

How to know if your NIMC Card is ready? Log on to National Identity Management Commission (NIMC)

At the home page of National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) website, go to “e-ID-Card Status Portal” to check if your National Identification Card is ready.  Then fill in your first name, last name and your NIMC tracking Identification and then click on check now.
